Zoppetti and Campanella
Left
Reverse
It's not clear which words modify which phrase: does this mean that the hops are done moving to the side, or that the foot is held out to the side, or both? Both interpretations work. Likewise, this can look good holding the left foot to the left side while moving leftwards (or forwards and to the left), OR holding the left foot to the left side while moving rightwards: quite a different feel, but equally good.
2 hops, campanella
... to the left ...
This takes one tempo (one bar in 6/4 or 6/8; two bars in 3/4 or 3/2) of galliard music.
Katherine Davies, 2016.
Two hops (zoppetti) with one foot on the ground to the side (per fiancho) with the little bell (campanella).
13. Duoi zoppetti con un piede in terra per fiancho con la campanella.
