Dance Type:
Number of dancers:
As many as will
About this choreography:
Patrick Bowman. A mutanza created and taught as part of an improvisation game in class, using "canary lucky dip" cards.
Choreography:

Advance:  stamps then riprese minute

1     2 stamps on the left, raising the knee high for each, in front

2     same again, on the right

3     2 stamps on left

4     2 stamps on right

5-6     ripresa minuta left (2 movements: heels then toes)

7-8     ripresa minuta right (2 movements)

9-16   repeat 1-8, starting on the right foot

Note: this doens't take you a long way forward. That's fine.

Retreat: slow stamps then long riprese minute

1-2    stamp backwards on the left

3-4    stamp backwards on the right

5-8     repeat 1-4

9-12   ripresa minuta (four movements) flankingly backwards to the left

13-16  repeat 9-12 flankingly backwards to the right

The advance takes one strain and the retreat a second strain.

Music:

This takes two repetitions of Negri's canario music.
