Class 1 term 1

Our first class of 2017.

First section:

• Marchesana (our first look at this dance - it's charming)
• Allegrezza d'Amore (just to see if we remembered it)

Second section: Passamezzo (based on Il Ballarino) - first time for several dancers

• passeggio together, twice
• man does mutanza 1, while woman does passeggio
• woman does mutanza 1, while man does passeggio
• man does mutanza 1 again, while woman does passeggio
• woman does mutanza 1 again, while man does passeggio
• both do passeggio
• man does mutanza 2, while woman does passeggio
• woman does mutanza 2, while man does passeggio
• man does mutanza 2 again, while woman does passeggio
• woman does mutanza 2, while man does passeggio
• both do passeggio
• closing honours

After a short break, we then learned more complex man's passeggio (from Il Ballarino). Finally, we danced the simple choreography above, but using the more complex passeggio (at will) as well as the simpler one.

A very successful start, on a dance we're all enjoying very much!
