Translation: 

If you wish to do the the Passo Semigrave begin with the left foot behind, in passo naturale, as seen in the figure, and in one perfect ternary beat of the music, lift the left foot from the ground, without putting it down; in another similar beat you bring it by the right; and in another beat you raise it in front of the right; and in the time of another beat you put it on the ground in passo naturale. This can also be done per contrario, and it is so called because it is done in the time of four beats.
