Our first class back after taking a fortnight off at the beginning of June.

During the next 11 classes I'd like to:

  • expand our 15thC Italian repertoire
  • plan and rehearse our performance for the Winter Warm Up (August 8th)
  • return to some 16thC Italian material - Canaries?

Tonight:

  • Warm up with Ly Bens Distonys, or Amoroso
  • learn Pinzochera (new for most)
  • revisit Belriguardo (plain version)
  • practice basic canary steps (new for some)
  • return to our improvisation games

Improv games: 15thC Italian bassa improvisation/memory game

Canaries:

  • seguito spezzato al canario (with and without hops)
  • seguito battuto
  • stamps
  • patterns of seguiti battuti
