This is the version given in all the Old Measures MSS save the first.
Wait through the first strain of the music (or start dancing immediately at B, if waiting is troublesome).
A. Do this twice
Repeat A, but on the right foot: setting and turning to right
B. Four doubles forwards, with hops.
Finish each double with a small hop, alternate doubles starting on the left and the right foot.
A. Repeat A.
If the music continues, continue to alternate A and B.
This is the choreography given in MS Rawlinson Poet. 108, dated c. 1570, which is probably the earliest of the MSS in which these measures are described.
