Translation of name: 
uncrossing, sliding the toes

Having the feet crossed, as seen in the figure, slide the left toes forwards, and uncrossing them [scrocciandola], raise the whole foot about four inches from the ground, and this can also be done on the other side; and it is so called because you uncross [scrociano] the feet, and slide the toes on the ground.
