Another cold evening, so lots of energetic stuff to keep us warm.
We briefly covered the four misure of 15th century Italian dancing: piva, saltarello, quadernaria and bassadanza.
We practiced ombreggiare (slow rise, rapid fall, on each step) and ondeggiare (shoulder shading): first in place, one foot slightly in front of each other, then with singles and doubles / sempii and doppii.
Finally, we practiced the remaining steps often used in bassadanza: riprese, continenze, mezavolta, voltatonda (both the volta del Gioioso and voltatonda using a doppio). We didn't practice riverentia, as we've done that quite a bit in other recent classes.
