The molinello (little mill) is a common step in galliards.

  • Defined by: Caroso (both books).
  • Also used by: Compasso
  • Not used (as far as I've seen) by: Negri, Lutii, Lupi, Santucci (having made a quick skim only of the last two). 
Reconstruction: 

First tempo: cinquepasso turning in place, to the left.

Second tempo: cinquepasso turning in place, to the right.

Translation: 

This Little Mill (Molinello) is done by doing the cinquepasso twice, one time turning around to the left and the other time to the right, finding oneself each time facing, where one began. And from the turning around with the cinquepasso these actions have recieved the name Molinello.

QUESTO Molinello si farà col fare due volte i Cinque Passi, l'una volti alla sinistra, & l'altra alla destra; trovandosi sempre all'incontro dove si principiarono: & da queste volte tonde de i Cinque Passi, hanno preso nome queste attioni di Molinello.
