Translation: 

Passi larghi fermati [large stopped/stationary steps] in the galliard are done drawing the left foot half an arm [braccio - whole arm, or wrist to elbow?], or about that, backwards, and separated from the right to the side by about four inches, gracefully bending and separating the knees somewhat. Do the same with the right foot, giving each step the time of one beat in the galliard.
