Class 4 term 1

Another excellent evening.

We started with an experiment in dancing without preparation: I started the music and we danced (without my announcing the name of the dance)

• Anello
• Rufty Tufty
• Heart's Ease (these three went well - no trouble remembering them)
• Parson's Farewell (this one, on the other hand, we had to look up in parts)

From there we revised Marchesana and Barcellonne, and learned

• La Danse de Cleves
• Spero

Finally, we worked again on the Passamezzo from Il Ballarino.

Our efforts tonight went towards:

• working on the man's first mutanza
• dancing complete passamezzi, using the simpler mutanze and our own efforts
• learning the second passeggio together
